Canaan Christian Covenant Missionary Baptist Church was organized on September 25, 1985 in Oakland, CA. Throughout its history, the church has demonstrated the love of Christ as we endeavour to build up the faith, hope, and love of our members and the immediate community.

Canaan Christian Covenant is committed to sharing the love of God and the message of Good News throughout the world.  We welcome people of all ages & cultural backgrounds as we joyfully celebrate worship and fellowship, and carry out ministries of evangelism, discipleship, Christian education and community outreach.

Service Times

Sunday Morning Prayer - 9:15 a.m.

Sunday School - 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Sunday Morning Worship - 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday - Prayer, Praise & Bible Study - 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m

Our congregation receives new members who come to us in one of the following ways:

• Candidate for Baptism: Upon the profession of faith in Christ, as Lord, Savior, and Forgiver of your sins.
• Transfer of Membership:  This is done by the submittal of a letter to Canaan Christian Covenant from your former church home.
• Christian Experience:  You are inactive as a church member and wish to activate your church membership and renew your relationship with Jesus Christ.

 Canaan Christian Covenant welcomes as new members, all believers in Jesus as Lord and Savior who are interested in:

• Searching the Scriptures;
• Seeking to share faith in Christ with others;
• Serving through a loving and caring ministry among persons who are broken, burdened, bruised, and beaten by life;
• Sharing your Time, Talents, and Treasure for advancing the Kingdom of God;
• Strengthening your daily walk, worship, and prayer life in relationship with God;
• Striving to be a humble instrument of unity, peace, and fellowship in the church family.
